TriMet TV has a new episode about how TriMet goes about keeping Portland green. Seeing Portlandia during the video reminded me that I need to go about writing writing a burger review about a hamburger I had in the cafeteria in the Micheal Graves’ Portland Building (look out for a review from BunsOfGlory).
Interesting tidbits found in the vid:
- TriMet cuts out more than 200,000 car trips on average per day
- ~200,000 car trips roughly equals 540 metric tons carbon dioxide
- TriMet has helped generate almost 6 billion dollars in development around the MAX line
