TriMet Transit Tracker on your iPhone

I use TriMet.org to access the Transit Tracker function on my iPhone when I’m waiting at a stop.  It’s serviceable.

I’ve found a faster solution - a more iPhone-friendly way to view TriMet’s Transit Tracker functionality.  It’s http://trimet.onmyiphone.net.  It’s cool because the page loads are quicker than accessing TriMet’s site and the interface is built like an official iPhone app’s interface.

Pretty slick…

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome feature. I should note this works on My treo 700W as well, so people using windows mobile can use this as well.

This rocks. Their website was so slow to use transit tracker, and calling in was a pain. This is perfect!

Now we just need an application that uses geolocation to tell you the closest bus stop and the next bus to get you downtown/etc.

I would LOVE to see each bus / MAX / streetcar equipped with a GPS and have a real-time map showing current locations. Sometimes the transit tracker is just so off for me… other times it’s right on time.

This thing is great even for using from your computer, way faster than the trimet site. It sure would be nice if Ctran had transit tracker too… hint hint Ctran.

Excellent; thanks for the tip, Christian! The most annoying thing about the Trimet page is that if you lose your connection or leave Safari, Trimet.org automatically reroutes to a please-try-again page (not that you didn’t already know that). This is fantastic!
