TriMet and public transportation with snow and icy conditions in Portland
As many of you are experiencing, there currently is snow falling in the Portland metro area. So for those that rely on public transportation, do not fret and don’t forget your Portland boots! TriMet regularly updates the status of their operations on their homepage.
When severe winter weather is forecasted, TriMet chains up their buses. So keep in mind that buses may be running slower than they usually do today and probably into the week. Be patient!
Here’s a picture from TriMetiquette headquarters at approximately 8:45 a.m. on December 14, 2008:

Also keep an eye out on TriMet’s service alerts page which will have major service updates. If you have any pictures of the snow in Portland you would like to share or any updates on public transportation on this snowy Sunday, please share!
