TriMet has a computer-generated video of how the MAX Green Line will look when completed in 2009. As someone who rides by this construction everyday (you can get a peek at how it’s going between the Gateway Transit Center and 102nd), it looks like things are really coming along quite nicely.
Why not have a little music being played during the video? I wouldn’t even mind a little “Never Going to Give You Up” being played (note: if you click that link, you will be rickrolled…).
Spotted this over at the City of Portland Commuter Central blog.

Why exactly is this such a great thing?
It IS GREAT because it is a graphic representation of our future. We will ride that Green Line, and our children will ride it. It will become a part of our lives. It will make us more efficient. Perhaps someday, in the distant future, it will take us to the ball park where the Portland Rivermen will play. We want professional baseball in Oregon, and we want a transit system to take us there.
First we get the Green Line. Then we get the Portland Rivermen big league team. Hide and watch, if you don’t believe. You’ll see.
Or the “Axe Men.” That’s got the TV tie in for the national recognition. That would work too, for the name for the team. The Portland Axe Men.
